Blanche P. Levy Park (The Green)
The Green is the center of campus and most students pass through it
several times a day. In spring and fall, students use the lawns for
reading, studying, or just catching some rays. John J. Boyle's statue of
Benjamin Franklin marks the center of The Green.
"Split Button," a 1981 sculpture by Claes Oldenberg, is one of the many
public works of art on Penn's campus. The Button is a much-loved landmark,
meeting place and attraction for toddlers.
