Located in a mid-nineteenth-century building in Hamilton Village, Civic House is the campus hub for student community service activity. In support of its mission of preparing students for their roles as citizens and leaders, Civic House assists and administers service projects, offers opportunities to combine action with reflection, and encourages productive collaboration between the University and Philadelphia's community organizations.

First served as a suburban house, later as St. Mary's Rectory, before becoming part of the University.
