Recent Deaths:

Dr. June Morris Axinn, professor emeritus of social welfare and former chair of the Faculty Senate, died of coronary arrest on May 18 at the age of 81.

Dr. Raymond Davis, Nobel Laureate and former research professor in physics and astronomy, died on May 31 at the age of 91 of complications from Alzheimer’s disease.

Dr. Adelaide Delluva, professor emeritus of biochemistry in animal biology, School of Veterinary Medicine, and former associate dean of student affairs, died on May 31 at the age of 88.

Dr. Michael G. Rukstad, a former adjunct associate professor at Wharton, died on May 17 after a year-long battle with cancer; he was 51 years old.

Other Deaths:

Ms. Isabel B. Ferguson, former senior programmer in physics, died on May 6 at the age of 68.

Dr. James P. Shinnick, clinical associate professor of medicine, in the pulmonary, allergy & critical care division at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center-Presbyterian, died on April 23.

Dr. James W. West, former associate professor of medicine, died on February 1 at the age of 85.
