The Penn Perspective

Human Resources Training and Development will be presenting The Penn Perspective, a specially designed institute for University of Pennsylvania administrators and department chairpersons, on June 8-10, 1999. The primary goal of the 17th annual program is to provide participants with a broad understanding of the University's structure, mission, and the challenges facing Penn today.

This intensive three-day program consists of lectures and presentations by many of Penn's senior officers and academic administrators, followed by time for questions and discussion. Topics include: Penn's academic foundation; management and fiscal practices; human resources; research; student life; computing; development and alumni relations; as well as current University issues. The schedule is arranged so that the 50 participants, who represent many academic and administrative areas, have free time to informally meet and interact with each other.

The cost to the department is $195 per person which covers tuition, materials, continental breakfasts and lunches. Applications must be approved by a dean, vice president or senior officer reporting to the president or the provost no later than April 9, 1999 and submitted to Training and Development by April 16, 1999. For application procedures and an application form, please contact Human Resources/Training and Development at 898-3400.
