Open House . . .
Members of the Penn community are invited for refreshments and tours
of the newest office in the University of Pennsylvania Dental Care Network
on Friday, April 16, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Located on the ground floor
of the 3401 Market Street building, the Penn Dental Center at University
City serves PFP Plan subscribers, other Penn and Health System staff, and
University City neighbors. For additional information about the Penn Dental
Center at University City, and any of the 6 other offices of the Dental
Care Network, call (215) 573-8844.
All Penn faculty are cordially invited to Hill College House's Faculty Reception to be held today, Tuesday, April 13, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity to meet and interact with the undergraduate students in an ambiance outside of the classroom and to take a quick sample of College House life. Snacks, soft drinks, and a little musical entertainment will complement the conversations.

The Penn Book Center, which had its "soft" opening before Spring Break in its new location, will hold an open house on Thursday, April 22, at 4 p.m. to celebrate its formal reopening. The independent bookseller, which was among the longtime retailers formerly at the site razed recently for the construction of the Wharton School's Jon M. Huntsman Hall, is now one of the Shops at Penn, located at 34th and Sansom in the former Sam Goody's space.
Roses in Motion: Also in the Shops at Penn, the longtime Houston Hall florists, Roses-which was moved temporarily to Walnut Street last year--has now completed another move within the complex, taking the former 9 & Co. space on 34th Street near Walnut. The move makes way for expansion of The Gap, which reportedly will add a Baby Gap to its Penn site.
