Consultation Committee

On January 17, Dean William N. Kelley announced that Arthur Andersen had been retained to assist the School of Medicine with its financial stabilization plan. The membership of the Consultation Committee, with whom the Andersen consultants will work includes the following:

the School of Medicine Administration represented by

  • Vice Dean Michael E. Black;
  • Susan Croll, Executive Director, Administration;
  • and Chrisopher Kops, Director of Finance Administration.

The Committee also includes:

  • Leslie Dutton, Chair, Professor Biochemistry & Biophysics
  • Charles P. Emerson, Jr., Joseph Leidy Professor and Chair, Cell and Developmental Biology
  • Dwight L. Evans, Professor and Chair, Psychiatry
  • Garret A. FitzGerald, Chair, Pharmacology and Director, Center of Experimental Therapeutics
  • Howard C. Herrmann, Associate Professor, Cardiovascular Medicine
  • Priscilla A. Schaffer, Chair, Microbiology Medicine
  • Jerome F. Strauss, III, Luigi Mastrioianni Professor and Associate Chair, Obstetrics and Gynocology

This Consultation Committee, chaired by Richard Tannen, will report on a weekly basis to the School of Medicine Task Force co-convened by Provost Robert Barchi and Dean William Kelley, and consisting of John Fry, Steven Schutt, Michael Masch, Richard Tannen, Michael Black, and Chrisopher Kops.
