White
House Town Hall Meeting on Cyberspace
The
Penn community is invited to attend a White House Town Hall Meeting
regarding the National Strategy to Secure Cyberspace, "For
Comment" to be held on Thursday, October 3, 7-9 p.m. in Annenberg
Center's Zellerbach Theatre.
This
Town Hall Meeting is held at the behest of the President's Critical
Infrastructure Protection Board. The purpose of this Town Hall
Meeting is to:
- raise
awareness about the importance of cybersecurity to our national
security, our economic well-being, and our individual privacy;
and to
- discuss
and promote informed input regarding the National Strategy
to Secure Cyberspace "For Comment" released in
draft form on September 18 and available online at www.securecyberspace.gov.
Panel
members will include:
- David
J. Farber, Alfred Fitler Moore Professor of Telecommunication
Systems, SEAS
- Howard
Schmidt, Vice Chairman, President's Critical Infrastructure
Protection Board
- Orson
Swindle, Commissioner, Federal Trade Commission
