PPSA
Meeting: November 12
Identity
theft has become one of the fastest growing crimes in this
country. Most of us have either personally been a victim or
know someone who has experienced it. As an employer, the University
is greatly concerned about the security of the faculty's, staff's
and students' personal information. There are steps we all
can take to minimize the risk of becoming a victim. Join
the Penn Professional Staff Assembly on November 12 when Lauren
Steinfeld, Chief Privacy Officer with the Office of Audit and
Compliance (Almanac February
26, 2002), presents Privacy at Penn. Her presentation
will discuss protecting personal privacy as well as adopting
a proactive approach to enhancing protection for students,
faculty, staff and others in the community. By attending this
lunchtime session you will get the necessary information to
understand privacy issues and how they relate to you in your
personal and professional life.
PPSA's
Board looks forward to seeing you at noon, November 12 in Logan
Hall's Terrace Room.
