Increasing Income Tax

Pennsylvania Governor Edward Rendell has signed a budget bill for fiscal 2003-2004 that increases Pennsylvania personal income tax. For tax years beginning after 2003, the personal income tax rate is increased from 2.8% to 3.07%. Changes to the Payroll system will go into effect with the January pay cycle.
