Visitors Guide to University City

UCD logoUniversity City District (UCD) has recently published its second edition of the University City Visitors Guide--comprehensive yet compact, with information on arts and culture, dining, lodging, shopping, and attractions.

The guide contains 28 color pages with over 70 restaurants and cafes, 30 galleries, museums and cultural venues, 4-star hotels and Victorian bed and breakfasts, unique shops, and information on residential neighborhoods boasting century old architecture.

"We're very proud of our new visitor's guide, which showcases all of the exciting things that University City has to offer," said Eric T. Goldstein, UCD's executive director.

Mr. Goldstein added, "also new to this version is the addition of over 25 new retail establishments and for the first time, a comprehensive listing of the area's arts and cultural venues. University City is experiencing unprecedented momentum in these areas and investment is happening at an exceptional rate."

The handy guide features a fold-out map with numbered key; subway and trolley lines; public parking; shopping corridors; University City neighborhood history; restaurants, cafes, ethnic groceries, and farmers markets; museums, galleries, and public art; shopping; hotels and B & Bs; recreation (ice skating, movies); hospitals and health services.

Contact the UCD at (215) 243-0555 or ucd@ucityphila.org to obtain copies of the 2004 University City Visitors Guide.
