Director
of Aresty Institute to ASU's Business School
Robert
Mittelstaedt, Jr., vice dean of the Wharton School and
director of the Aresty Institute of Executive Education,
will become the dean of the W.P. Carey School of Business
of Arizona State University as of June 30. He is currently
managing Wharton's $43 million executive education business.
Mr. Mittelstaedt's contributions to the Wharton School
include developing an innovative program for corporate
directors and helping to develop company sponsored research
forums. Also, during his time in the executive education
division, he worked as associate dean for External Affairs
in the first three years of a $350 million fundraising
campaign that resulted in $425 million raised. He holds
an MBA in Operations Management from the Wharton School
and has held positions at Wharton since 1973.
