Provost Robert L. Barchi: Named President of
Thomas Jefferson University

Provost Robert L. Barchi, has been elected Thomas Jefferson University's fourth president, Brian G. Harrison, chair of the Jefferson University's Board of Trustees, announced June 7, 2004, following a full board vote.

Resignation of Chief of Police
Tom Rambo has resigned his position as Chief of Police in order to pursue other professional opportunities, Vice President for Public Safety Maureen Rush announced.
Carol Wilson Spigner SSW Teaching Awards
The 2004 recipients of the School of Social Work's Excellence in Teaching Awards are Dr. Carol Wilson Spigner (standing faculty), and Mary Cavanaugh (part-time faculty).
Kristin Gilbertson CIO: Kristin Gilbertson
Kristin A. Gilbertson has been named Chief Investment Officer for the University, according to Craig Carnaroli, Senior Vice President for finance at Penn. Ms. Gilbertson will begin her new duties on August 15.
Andrew DeVoe Senior Vice President and CFO for UPHS:
Andrew DeVoe

Andrew DeVoe has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for UPHS, effective May 10. Prior to joining UPHS, Mr. DeVoe served as Regional Vice President of Finance for Tenet Healthcare Corporation.
