Café Nothing on the Shakespeare Garden; open house at the Arthur Ross Gallery invites visitors to interact with and respond to intangible and nonexistent objects; reception: July 21, 5:30-7:30 p.m. with 6 p.m. performance in the Gallery of John Cage's 4' 33" by Maestro Jonathan Sternberg; presented as part of The Big Nothing at the ICA. Through August 9.

Annual In-House Exhibition; works by employees of the University City Science Center and its resident organizations; Esther Klein Gallery. Through August 31.

Women Almolonga Women by Winifred Godfrey, oil on canvas, 48" x 72". This town is known for its wonderful vegetable and flower market. The zigzag huipil (blouse) and Ikat skirt are very distinctive, as is the grace of the women as they carry the baskets of flowers for the graves.

Mayan Procession; contemporary paintings, photographs and textiles by Winifred Godfrey, offer a look at the Maya people of Guatemala; Penn Museum. Through September 26.
