    Performances at Penn Presents

    Cherish the Ladies Celtic Christmas–One of the premiere Celtic Music Troupes in the world returns, in a holiday-themed show guaranteed to lift the spirits and set the tone for the holidays! The concert will take place on Friday, December 16 at 8 p.m. in the Zellerbach Theatre, Annenberg Center.Tickets: $49, $45, $39 and $28.

    Dianne Reeves Holiday Concert–This amazing chanteuse will perform holiday standards from her smash release Christmas Time Is Here, entertaining the audience with her amazing take on Christmas classics! The multi-grammy award winner comes back to the Annenberg Center as part of the Penn Presents 2005-06 Jazz Series, performing in a very special holiday concert on Saturday, December 17 at 8 p.m. in the Zellerbach Theatre.Tickets: $47, $42, $35 and $22.

    New Year’s Eve at World Cafe Live

    Peanut Butter & Jams with Two of a Kind–Saturday, December 31; A special New Year’s Eve Day Peanut Butter and Jams. Parents and kids are encouraged to dress up for what is bound to be the most happening daytime New Year’s Eve party for the K-5 crowd. This award-winning, nationally touring, husband-wife duo specializes in interactive musical programs for children and eclectic folk/acoustic/singer-songwriter material for adults. Tickets: $10; Showtime: 11:30 a.m.

    Jonatha Brooke New Year’s Eve Celebration!–Saturday, December 31; Singer/songwriter/guitarist Jonatha Brooke merges folk and pop. She is known for her intimate songs and energetic performances; 1st show: doors open 6 p.m., show 7:30 p.m.; $60; second show: doors open 10 p.m., show 10:30 p.m. Tickets: $78, $66, $39. 

    Morris Arboretum Holiday Classes

    Holiday Wreath Workshop–Wednesday, December 7; Add a personal touch to your front door this holiday season with a wreath that you make with a variety of fresh greens supplied by the Arboretum. All materials are included; please bring your own clippers. Section A: 1–3:30 p.m.; Section B: 7–9:30 p.m.; $40, $37/members.

    Holiday Tabletop Tree with Lights–Saturday, December 10, 10 a.m.–noon; Design your own tree from long lasting greens, choose your colors for bows and glass balls with fresh flowers to decorate this spectacular holiday centerpiece. (22”-24” tall) Lights are added to make the tree really festive; $45, $42/members.

    Holiday Wreath-Ring Centerpiece–Tuesday, December 13, 6:45–8:45 p.m.; Using an assortment of seasonal greens, berries, pine cones and accessories along with a reusable vine wreath ring, you’ll create a beautiful arrangement for your holiday table. Learn some tricks working with seasonal greens and how to make them last;  $53, $48/members.

    Kids Holiday Sleigh Arrangement–Sunday, December 18, 1–3 p.m.; Load up a wicker and wrought iron sleigh with a wonderful assortment of fragrant greens, flowers, cones and accessories to fly straight to your or grandma’s holiday table. This workshop is especially designed for kids 5-12 years old;  $31, $28/members.
