WPSA Career Week: April 2-6
March 27, 2007, Volume 53, No. 27

The Weekly-Paid Professional Staff Assembly is sponsoring Career Week from April 2–6, 2007. This spring event will address concerns and interests raised by staff for all staff to enjoy. Our highlighted seminars include:

Monday, April 2–Career Advancement Techniques; Donna Showell-Brown, Recruitment and Gale Gibbons, Career Coach, will present tips on the recruitment process and interviewing skills; noon-1:30 p.m., Houston Hall, rm. 218.

Tuesday, April 3–Performance Evaluation Process; Sharon Moorer-Harris, Labor and Staff Relations, will discuss how to make your performance evaluation work for you; noon-2 p.m., Stitler Hall, Political Science lounge 1st flr.

Wednesday, April 4–Managing Conflict in a Diverse Environment; Ralph DeLucia, Affirmative Action, will speak on workplace etiquette and conflict resolution in the workplace; noon-2 p.m., Jon M. Huntsman Hall, rm. F85.

Thursday, April 5–Defining your Career Choices through Education; Vanessa Saunders, Educational Opportunity Center, will present educational services for staff and continuing adults; noon-2 p.m., Houston Hall, rm. 218.

Friday, April 6–Career Week Craft Fair!; BRB II/III lobby from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. If you know a crafter who would like to participate, please e-mail candicem@pobox.upenn.edu. Discount Six Flags Great Adventure tickets will be sold at this event.

After Work Gathering!; Come help us celebrate the success of WPSA Career Week! World Cafe Live, 3025 Walnut St. Discount happy hour and free parking at 5:30 p.m. Open to all Penn staff!
