|Weight Watchers on Campus
October 23, 2007, Volume 54, No. 9
If you’ve ever thought about joining Weight Watchers, now it’s more convenient than ever! Beginning November 13, Weight Watchers meetings will be held on campus every Tuesday. We hope you’ll take advantage of this exciting opportunity to create healthy new lifestyle habits.
Attend your first meeting on November 13 or 20 to take advantage of a special discounted sign-up fee!
We all know that healthy food and exercise choices are key to our overall wellbeing, but making the right choices over the long term can be difficult. Weight Watchers’ flexible, sustainable weight-loss system can help you succeed. The Weight Watchers approach is built on four basic principles: weight loss should be healthy; the program should fit into your life; the choices you make should be informed; and the Weight Watchers program must be holistic, taking into account your behavior and environment as well as your food and exercise choices. For more information, visit www.weightwatchers.com.
Two meetings will be held on campus every Tuesday beginning November 13, 2007. You can attend either meeting any week, as your schedule allows. You can also attend meetings in other locations once you have joined. Weight Watchers strongly encourages weekly participation in meetings:
Meeting One: 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m., Tuesdays
Meeting Two: 12:30–1:30 p.m., Tuesdays
Facilities and Real Estate Services has generously provided meeting space in their Left Bank offices at 3101 Walnut Street. You will be directed to the meeting space when you enter the reception area.
Sign up for Penn’s Weight Watchers program at any time by contacting Human Resources at (215) 898-5116 or email@example.com. This helps us to ensure that we have adequate space and materials for each meeting. However, please note that your official enrollment with Weight Watchers will occur when you attend your first meeting.
You will pay Weight Watchers an initial sign-up fee at your first meeting and a per-class fee when you return each week. Your sign-up fee pays for your Weight Watchers membership and your first class. Discounts for senior citizens are available—visit www.hr.upenn.edu/quality/wellness/weightwatchers.asp for details.
• Sign-up fee: Weight Watchers is offering members of the Penn community a special sign-up rate of $15 at the first two on-campus meetings (November 13 and 20)! After that, the sign-up rate will be $40.
• Class fee: Classes are $14 each (your first class fee is included in your sign-up fee).
