WOCAP Arts & Crafts Fair
The Women of Color at Penn is sponsoring an Arts and Crafts Fair on Wednesday, December 5, in the Reading Room (first floor), Houston Hall from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vendors will sell holiday gifts for family, friends, and others. For more information call (215) 898-0104.

Holiday Dinner at the University Club

Kwanzaa Celebration Dinner
Have you ever participated in a Kwanzaa Celebration? Celebrate Penn’s 15th annual Kwanzaa event on Thursday, December 6, with an evening of fellowship, food and fun. Enjoy the sounds of steel drums, good food and company. All are welcome! The event will take place in Bodek Lounge, Houston Hall, 6-8 p.m.

Holiday Party at International House
Participate in a holiday party with international flair on Friday, December 14 at 6 p.m. Enjoy seasonal music from the Curtis Institute of Music’s Brass Trio and share traditions from around the world. There will be holiday treats, music, and gingerbread house decorating with students from The Restaurant School. Tickets: $5/members, students and seniors; $7/general admission. Holiday Wreath Making; This workshop is designed for those who want to make their wreath from fresh loose boughs of greens. You’ll work with a wire ring and spool wire to construct your wreath. There will be a selection of ribbons and decorations to make it festive. All supplies will be provided. Bring a pair of garden gloves and pruners. Section A: Thursday, December 6, 1-3 p.m.; Section B: Thursday, December 6, 6:45-9 p.m.; Section C: Saturday, December 8, 1-3 p.m. Members: $42, Non-members: $45.

Boxwood Holiday Tree with Lights—Saturday, December 15; 1-3 p.m.; You will create a special centerpiece that is sure to put you in the holiday spirit. Design your own tree from long lasting greens, choose your colors for bows and glass balls with fresh flowers to decorate this spectacular holiday centerpiece (22-24” tall). Lights are added to make the tree really festive. Your tree arrangement will last for four to five weeks. Members: $44,  Non-members: $48.

Kids’ Holiday Arrangement—Saturday, December 15; 10 a.m.-noon; Learn about fresh flower arranging as you design a beautiful centerpiece to use on your family’s holiday table or to give as a gift. Working with evergreens is fragrant and fun. You can add a candle, pine cones, ribbons, and flowers to make it extra special. Your finished arrangement will last for a minimum of two weeks. This educational workshop is for kids ages 5 to 12. Members: $28, Non-Members $31.

Holiday Centerpiece—Sunday, December 16; 1-3 p.m.; Design your own festive, fragrant arrangement to enjoy in your home or to give as a gift. In this workshop you will learn professional tricks of the trade to create a beautiful display of assorted evergreens. There will be an assortment of candles, flowers, fruit and accessories for you to customize your centerpiece. Bring clippers and a box to take your centerpiece home. All other materials will be provided. Members: $42, Non-Members: $45.

New Year’s Eve at World Cafe Live

Alô Brasil—December 31; Consisting of twelve Philadelphian musicians spanning three generations, the band’s music is influenced by African rhythms and different regions of Brazil.  Tickets: $60; Showtime: 7:30 p.m.
