A group of students, alumni, faculty and staff of Kelly Writers House at the University of Pennsylvania, has compiled a list of books that they believe are perfect for winter reading.
In alphabetical order they are:

• The Given Day by Dennis Lehane (2008)
• The Method by Sasha Steensen (2008)
• The Savage Detectives by Roberto Bolaño (2007)
• The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami (1998)
• Then We Came to the End by Joshua Ferris (2007)
