Rob Gurnee: Executive Director of the Christian Association

Rob Gurnee, who joined the Christian Association (CA) as its executive director in August and is responsible for providing the leadership, vision and direction for the organization, was formally introduced during a welcoming reception on October 29.

Mr. Gurnee brings 25 years of combined business and community building experience to the CA, whose mission is to advocate for peace and justice and educate for faith development of the Penn community. He previously served as executive director of the Interfaith Coalition Building Blocks of Wilmington, which mobilizes faith leaders from diverse faith traditions, along with community based organizations, residents and youth, to create safer and spirit-lifting lives in West Center City in Wilmington, DE.

Mr. Gurnee received a BS in political science from American University and a JD from Emory University School of Law and had a successful career in banking and finance prior to undertaking his ministry work. His career evolved from senior management positions at a number of established institutions to owning his own socially conscious finance company.
