Research & Instructional Services at Penn Libraries: Karrie Peterson

The Penn Libraries announce the appointment of Karrie Peterson to the position of assistant director for research and instructional services.

Ms. Peterson recently came to Penn from the Brandeis University Library, where she was associate director, research and instruction services. Her previous positions included director of library & information technology at Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, head of government information services at North Carolina State University Libraries and federal government information librarian at the University of California San Diego.  

In addition to leading the research and instructional services department, Ms. Peterson will play an integral role in the library’s efforts to support teaching and learning on campus. She will also help develop strategic directions for information, research and outreach programs.

Ms. Peterson holds both a bachelor of arts and science and a master of library science from the University of Pittsburgh.
