Support for Your Dependent Care Challenges

PDF
October 11, 2011, Volume 58, No. 07

This is the second in a series of articles this October to honor National Work and Family Month—a campaign to raise awareness of the importance of worklife benefits.

Being a parent or caregiver is rewarding. But it’s no easy task, especially when it comes to open communication with your child. How do you talk about difficult subjects? What’s the best way to maintain an honest relationship? If you’re struggling with these kinds of questions, we can help.

Penn offers 24/7 assistance for your dependent care challenges through two free and confidential services: the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Worklife Resources. Whether you call for one-on-one coaching or use the online resources, both services can give you support and advice to help you work through any issue. Simply call 888-321-4433 to speak with a counselor, or visit the Human Resources website at www.hr.upenn.edu/quality/wellness/EAP.aspx

For additional dependent care coaching and support, join us for a workshop on October 20: A Guide to Communicating with your Adolescent. Visit www.hr.upenn.edu/coursecatalog to register.
