Dr. Gupta is an Emmy award-winning CNN Chief Medical Correspondent and is associate chief of neurosurgery at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. He reports from disaster areas and warring regions around the world while practicing medicine to alleviate the pain and suffering in those areas.

A best-selling author, his books include Chasing Life: New Discoveries in the Search for Immortality to Help You Age Less Today, Cheating Death: The Doctors and Medical Miracles that Are Saving Lives Against All Odds and Monday Mornings: A Novel.

He was named in Forbes magazine as one of the “Ten Most Influential Celebrities.”
