Flu Shots

PDF
Print Issue
September 18, 2012, Volume 59, No. 04

Dear Colleagues:
Help prevent influenza at Penn!

The single most effective way to prevent the flu is to get a flu vaccine. You can encourage students and coworkers to avoid influenza illness by attending one of Student Health’s 2012 Flu Vaccine Clinics:

  • Wednesday, October 10: 11 a.m.-7:30 p.m., Fagin Hall Lobby, School of Nursing
  • Wednesday, October 17: 11 a.m.-7:30. p.m., Bodek Lounge, Houston Hall

Faculty and staff are also warmly welcome to get their flu vaccine at our fast and efficient flu clinics. No appointment is necessary and you will be in and out in less than 5 minutes—even during our busiest times! Flu vaccine costs $25 and must be paid in cash by faculty/staff at time of administration (covered by student insurance or billed to students’ bursar bills).*

Help us prevent influenza at Penn by recommending flu vaccination to students and coworkers!

Questions? Contact Sharon McMullen, director of campus health initiatives at (215) 356-0818 or mcm@upenn.edu

* Under current health care reform legislation, preventative vaccines may be covered by insurance.  Please check with your insurance carrier to see if you will be reimbursed for a flu vaccine administered by an out-of-network provider.
