Late Summer Painting
Au Plein Air

Sunday, September 21
1–3 p.m.

Allison Zito
Artist and Teacher, Harcum College

Like the impressionist painters of the 19th century, we will step into nature’s majesty and paint outdoors. We will first examine the work of various artists for ideas and inspiration. Then each participant will be encouraged to follow his or her own individual expression. The Morris Arboretum provides the ultimate setting for capturing the beauty of the outdoors. We will use acrylic paint, a quick drying medium to capture this moment and complete our vision on location in one session. All supplies will be provided.

Dress appropriately for the weather and to paint.

Members: $30
Non-members: $35

Beer: The Tasting Continues. . .

Friday, October 10
7–9 p.m.

On Friday, October 10 at 7 p.m., the Morris Arboretum will host its second annual beer dinner. Not only will you be able to taste the selected beers, but each dish will be cooked with beer.

As Philadelphia is considered Brussels on the Schuylkill, we will focus only on Belgian beers at this event. Two of these will be abbey beers, Abbey de Leffe Blond and Grimbergen Dubbel and the other two are perhaps Belgium’s best known beers—Hoegaarden, the leading Belgian white, and Stella Artois, a world famous pilsner.

Come taste some delicious food while sampling outstanding Belgian beers. Bring friends and make this a social event. The event is jointly sponsored by Flourtown Beverage, Gretz Beer Company and the Morris Arboretum.

Members: $60
Non-members: $72
