The following positions are available with the Botswana-University of Pennsylvania-Partnership at Princess Marina Hospital, Gaborone and Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital, Francistown, Botswana with start dates after April 2008.
• 2x Paediatricians with special interest/subspecialty training in TB/HIV
(in Francistown)
• 3x Physicians with special interest/subspecialty in TB and or HIV
(1 Francistown, 2 Gaborone)
• 4xPhysicians in Gaborone with special interest/subspecialty training in HIV Medicine or Infectious Diseases
• 1xPathologist with special interest and expertise in cervical cancer
• 1xCytotechnologist with experience in cervical cancer
• 1xHistotechnologist with experience in cervical cancer
Preference will be given to Batswana candidates and candidates who can commit to two or more years.

BACKGROUND
Botswana has among the highest HIV/AIDS prevalence rates in the world that is associated with a parallel increase in opportunistic infections such as TB and HIV related malignancies, especially cervical cancer. The Botswana government was among the first in the developing world to commit to combating this scourge. The Botswana-UPenn Partnership is a collaboration of the government of Botswana and the University of Pennsylvania to fight the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
