Penn's new Bio-Medical Research Building (BRBII, BRBIII), will be completed in the Spring of 1999. This state-of-the-art complex, consisting of 385,000 gross square feet, will house research laboratories, offices, conference rooms, lounges, a dining room, and a large auditorium. The building will complete a fully-enclosed pedestrian loop, linking by bridge and by building the entire Medical Center and School of Medicine complex. |

In the Spring of 1996, graduate student Carolyn M. Whealan Andersson of the University of Pennsylvania's Department of Landscape Architecture, introduced an environmental education curriculum to a class of children at the Village of Arts and Humanities. Exercises included: mapping the landscape, materials, narrative drawing, Photomarathon, and placemaking collages. |
