2009 Summer Internship SLI
Philadelphia Freedom Schools Summer Internship
Every summer, the Netter Center for Community Partnerships recruits Penn students to work as Servant Leader Interns (SLI's) in our Freedom School summer programs.  SLI's are trained to lead classrooms of about 10 K-8 students from West Philadelphia in a literacy curriculum in the morning and enrichment activities in the afternoon.  This is an incredibly rewarding experience.  All majors are welcome to apply.

Info session: March 20th, 6PM, Huntsman Hall, Room 245
First round application deadline: March 27th
Training at the University of MD scheduled for June 2nd-9th

Program runs for 6 weeks from June to August
Operated out of Penn's West Philadelphia Community Schools

Work-study and non work-study can apply
$12/hour, 40 hours a week
