AR/AC Literacy Curriculum Training
Tuesday, February 6th - 5:30-7pm

The America Reads/America Counts program will be holding its West Philadelphia Literacy Curriculum Training on Tuesday, February 6th from 5:30-7pm.

This literacy training is aimed at familiarizing tutors with guidelines and criteria that is mandated by the Philadelphia School District regarding literacy. Rasheda Boatwright, from Drew Elementary, will provide tutors with some tips on how to best approach the topic with the students. The training will provide tutors with a brief overview of the expectations of the school, teachers and students regarding the heavily emphasized topic of literacy.

The training will be held in the conference room at the CCP, located at 133 South 36th Street on the fifth floor.

 

AR/AC Math Curriculum Training
Tuesday, February 20th - 5:30-7pm

The America Reads/America Counts program will be holding its West Philadelphia Math Curriculum Training on Tuesday, February 20th from 5:30-7pm.

The math curriculum training is aimed at familiarizing tutors with the guidelines and criteria that is mandated by the Philadelphia School District regarding math. As this subject becomes an increasingly emphasized area of importance to the district educators, administrators, students and tutors are all feeling the pressure to ensure competency of all parties. The training will attempt to briefly introduce these expectations and provide tutors with some practical skills regarding educating the students.

The training will be held in the conference room at the CCP, located at 133 South 36th Street on the fifth floor.
