The America Counts and America Reads program at Penn requires
that all tutors attend a series of training seminars led by program
directors, CCP staff, Penn faculty, public school teachers and
community partners.
Tutors attend several reflection meetings throughout each year.
These meetings are usually facilitated by tutor site coordinators
in order to give tutors an opportunity to share experiences, work
through challenges, improve their own tutoring practice and the
programs they support.
Tutors are strongly encouraged to attend trainings led by our
partner organization, Civic House. For a complete listing of Civic
House trainings, please visit: http://www.upenn.edu/civichouse
