Steve joined the Office of the Chaplain at Penn in the fall of 2008 with ten years of experience in ministry.  Through his years of church work he has provided leadership for worship services, concerts, conferences and other special events, as well as a wide variety of community service projects and educational programs.

At Penn Steve spends much of his time helping our amazing student organizations plan their events and build meaningful community on campus.  He is also always available to talk to students and staff, to offer support or space for reflection.  Steve also serves as instructor for Penn’s first academic interfaith dialogue and action course.  The “iBelieve” course (formally listed as EDUC 598: Interfaith Dialogue in Action) is a partnership between the Chaplain’s Office, the Greenfield Intercultural Center and the Graduate School of Education and gives students a chance to build facilitation skills for connecting across lines of difference.  The class is open to all Penn undergraduate and masters students

Steve was born in England and is unreasonably passionate about English cricket and football (ok, soccer). He moved to Philadelphia as a kid and transferred that passion to the Philly sports scene.  He is thrilled to be working and living here with his wife, sons and daughter.
