IRS Phishing Scams
Some individuals at Penn may have received an email message claiming to be from the IRS. The message contains two attachments (Form
W-4100B2 A1.doc and Form W-4100B2A2.doc) and appears to be from "Internal Revenue Service" with an irs.gov address.
Penn's Payroll department hasconfirmed with the IRS that these messages are not legitimate. The IRS will never initiate communications with taxpayers via email. Please make sure not to reply to this email message, click on any links, or open any attachments in these messages.
