The most efficient way to do this is with InfoView Interactive View mode. If you are not familiar with how to set your Preferences for Interactive View mode, see the Tip about InfoView Interactive View mode for an explanation.

To view and change report breaks (numbers below correspond with numbers in Figure 1):

1. Right-click in a column that you think has a break. (... or you can just quickly click in all of them to discover which ones have them).
2. Notice that the Sort and Insert break... buttons change and look 'indented' when a column that has sorts or breaks is clicked.
3. Select Break from the drop-down menu that appears when you right-click.
4. Select Properties and click on it and the Break Properties box will appear. (see Figure 2.)

Notice the various features in the Break Properties box (numbers below correspond with numbers in Figure 2):

1. Existing breaks are listed in order here.
2. Up and down arrows allow you to change the order of multiple breaks.
3. Existing Display Properties are shown and you can change them.
4. Existing Page Layout items are shown and you can change them.
5. You can also remove a break.

1. Right-click in a column that you think has a sort. (... or you can just quickly click in all of them to discover which ones have them)
2. Notice that the Sort and Insert break... buttons change and look 'indented' when a column that has sorts or breaks is clicked.
3. Select Sort from the drop-down menu that appears when you right-click.
4. Notice that 'Descending' sort already exists on this data.
5. Select the type of sort you want (we're selecting Custom Sort... to show you the Custom Sort box in Figure 4).

Notice that you can add and remove temporary values in the sort (#1) as well as change the order of the sort (#2) in the Custom Sort box (Figure 4).

NOTE: There is a limit of 100 items in a list for a custom sort!

WEBI SORTS: You can also see and change breaks and sorts in Webi but it is a more complicated and delicate process.

1. Right-click on your table.
2. Select Format - Table and the Properties tab will appear on the left.
3. Expand the Sorts heading
4. Click on the "..." icon beside Sort Priority.
5. A Sort dialog box appears.
6. See and change the order of the sorted columns by selecting a sort column and then moving it up or down in order using the arrows (circled in yellow).
