BRS Corporate Documents
The Business Objects Corporate Documents area provides access to pre-defined,
prompt-driven reports that you can run to retrieve a standardized perspective
on your data.
The following reports are available under the "BRS" category:
BRS Snapshot: After prompting the user for SSN, this query will return
Name, Amount, Account2, Paid Applied Amt, Paid Applied Date, Batch
Reference & Date, Bill Date, Term, BRS Descr, C/P, Subcode, and
BRS Term, from all Detail, Intermediate and History (History, as of
2003) Records.
BRS Snapshots for Multiple Students and Record Type: After
prompting the user for multiple SID or Penn IDs, and Record Type (Detail
or Intermediate and History or all) this query
will return Name, Amount, Account2, Paid Applied Amt, Batch Reference & Date,
Bill Date, Term, BRS Descr, C/P, Subcode, and BRS Term, from all SSNs
and all record types specified. (History Records, as of 2003)
BRS Subcode Summary: For Detail records (where
Detail = Y), displays subcode totals by BRS term. Report tabs show applied
and
unapplied amounts,
as well as batches
with zero amounts.
Select Subcode and BatchDate: Prompts user for
a specific Subcode and a Batch Date range (begin date/end date), then
returns SSN, Name, Batch Date, and Amount
for all transactions
meeting the condition, from Detail, Intermediate, or History (History,
as of 2003) records. To import reports for your own use:
Using InfoView:
The InfoView web page allows you to view the list of corporate documents
in the Business Objects repository and refresh and download those documents
via the web. To access the corporate documents using InfoView (Business
Objects users only):
- Point your browser to https://zinc.isc-seo.upenn.edu/wi
- Click the blue "Log In" button. Enter your Business Objects
ID and password in the User Name and Password fields that appear.
Click OK to continue to the InfoView Welcome page. You should not
click the "Remember my password" box, as this would allow
anyone using your browser to access the Data Warehouse under your
ID.
- Click the Corporate Documents link. You may then click on a document
name to view the structure and then refresh it, or download it, or
edit it using Business Objects.
Using the Business Objects client software:
- Log on to Business Objects.
- From the File menu, click "Retrieve From", and then "Corporate
Documents".
- Click on the name of the file you'd like to retrieve, and then
click the Retrieve button. You may choose whether to open
the document upon retrieval.
- Retrieved files are saved in your UserDocs directory by default.
You may wish to relocate and/or rename them.
