FINQUERY Template Universe Repository Reports

FINQRCM - Budget and Actuals

This report displays a crosstab of year to date budget balances and actuals by month for RCM Categories for a given Center and Fund. It makes use of a union, which allows users to retrieve year to date budget balances in one column, along with actuals by month. It uses the RCM OBJECT TREE table in the Data Warehouse to mimic object groupings used in BEN Reports and BEN Financials reports.

Query 1 with FINQRCM

  • Union Query 1 Result Objects:

    Balances: COA Fund, Accounting Period, SUM Actual Month, Fiscal Month Seq

    RCM Object Tree: RCM Row Description, RCM Row Parent Object, RCM Category Description, RCM Category Parent Object

    Support Objects: Zero 1 (a placeholder)

  • Union Query 1 Conditions: (all from Balances)

    COA Cnac LIKE prompt: ('Enter Center% (i.e., 02%)')

    COA Fund = prompt: ('Enter Fund')

    Fiscal Year = prompt: ('Enter Fiscal Year')

    Sum Actual Month <> 0

  • Union Query 2 Result Objects:

    Balances: COA Fund, Accounting Period, SUM Oper Budget FYTD, Fiscal Month Seq

    RCM Object Tree: RCM Row Description, RCM Row Parent Object, RCM Category Description, RCM Category Parent Object

    Support Objects: Zero 1 (a placeholder)

  • Union Query 2 Conditions: (all from Balances)

    COA Cnac LIKE prompt: ('Enter Center% (i.e., 02%)')

    COA Fund = prompt: ('Enter Fund')

    Accounting Periodr = prompt: (Enter Period (budget fytd as of):)

    Sum Oper Budget FYTD<> 0

To import this file for your own use:

  1. Log on to Business Objects.
  2. From the File menu, click "Retrieve From", and then "Corporate Documents" (or, if you're still using version 4, choose to retrieve from "Repository").
  3. Click on the name of the file you'd like to retrieve, and then click the Retrieve button.
  4. If you are using Business Objects version 5, you may choose whether to open the document upon retrieval.
  5. Retrieved files are saved in your UserDocs directory by default. You may wish to relocate and/or rename them.
