Data Warehouse

Welcome to the University of Pennsylvania Data Warehouse. The Warehouse allows faculty, staff, experienced system developers, and institutional researchers to perform direct queries on administrative University data.

The University's Data Warehouse is divided into the following data collections: Advancement, Assets, BRS (Student Billing and Receivables), Faculty (appointments and recruitment), General Ledger, Learning Management, Position Inventory, Salary Management, Space@Penn, Sponsored Projects, Student Data and Tuition Distribution. You can access information about a collection and general information about Penn's Data Warehouse from each data collection's home page. Data collection information includes the collection's refresh schedule, data diagrams, table and data element documentation, data training, and data security.

General information includes information that is pertinent to all the data collections. This includes basic information about data base queries, historical information about Penn's data warehouse, the access request forms you must submit for authorization to use the Warehouse, query tools used at Penn to retrieve data, training, support services available for help, general information about Warehouse security, and updates to the warehouse. You can also link to the Office of Data Administration (the ISC division that manages the Warehouse) and Penn's computing web site.
