some training rooms; when the value for ADDRESS_1 is not null, it
is stored in mixed case. See also ADDRESS_2, CITY,
STATE,
ZIP,
and
COUNTRY.
Note: ADDRESS_1 values may be inconsistent. For
example, ADDRESS_1 for one training
room has '3930 Chestnut Street', but
for another training
room at the same address, it is '3930 Chestnut'.

LAST_EXTRACT_DATE
Indexed - no
Format - date
May be null? yes |
The date and time when the data for this record was extracted from Knowledge
Link and loaded into the Data Warehouse.
Business Objects hint: by default, just the date will appear in

Values:
List of values not available |
LOCATION_ID
Indexed - yes
Format - number (10)
May be null? no |
A number, up to 10 digits long, used to uniquely identify
the LOCATION record within the Knowledge Link system. The LOCATION table
has one record for each place where instructor-led course iterations
are taught. LOCATION_ID usually
refers to a room (ROOM_NAME) in a building (FACILITY_NAME).
Example: 78058
Values:
Refer to the LMS_LOCATION table for values. |
LOCATION_OWNER
Indexed - yes
Format - number (10)
May be null? yes |
A number, up to 10 digits long, used to uniquely identify the business
unit that owns the training room. The LOCATION_OWNER
value corresponds
to
a KNODE.KNODE_ID.
A business unit (also known as a BU, role, Knowledge Node, or K Node)
is a set of one or more Knowledge Link users. The business units that
are location owners are at or near the top of the business unit hierarchy--for
example, the Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania.
If you
need to retrieve information on the locations owned by a given business
unit, and that business unit has other business units
below it in the hierarchy, select records from LMS_LOCATION and LMS_BUSINESS_UNIT_GROUP
where the business unit group in the LMS_BUSINESS_UNIT_GROUP table
is the one that is of interest, and LMS_LOCATION.LOCATION_OWNER = LMS_BUSINESS_UNIT_GROUP.BUSINESS_UNIT_MEMBER_NUMBER.
Documentation on the LMS_BUSINESS_UNIT_GROUP table is available here.
Example: 10000 (Trustees of the University of
Pennsylvania)
Values:
List of values not available |
LOCATION_STATUS
Indexed - no
Format - varchar2 (1)
May be null? yes |
An upper case letter indicating whether or not
the training room is active. A course iteration can be assigned to a training
room only if the location is active. For more information on course
iterations, see the COURSE_ITERATION table.
Values:
A (the location is active, and may have course
iterations assigned to it) I (the location is inactive, and may not have course
iterations assigned to it) |
ROOM_DESC
Indexed - no
Format - varchar2 (480)
May be null? yes |
A phrase or a couple of sentences describing the
room where training
may be held. This information is not available
for most locations. When the value for ROOM_DESC
is not null, it is stored in
mixed case, and may include letters
and/or
numerals and/or other characters. See also ROOM_TYPE and SEAT_CAPACITY.

ROOM_NAME
Indexed - no
Format - varchar2 (50)
May be null? yes |
The name of the room where training
may be held. This information is available for
practically all locations. When it is not null, the value for ROOM_NAME
is stored in mixed case, and may include letters
and/or
numerals and/or other characters.
A training room is uniquely identified by the LOCATION_ID, which usually
refers to a room (ROOM_NAME) in a building (FACILITY_NAME). See
also ADDRESS_1, ADDRESS_2, CITY, STATE, ZIP, and COUNTRY.
Most ROOM_NAMEs identify rooms where a course may be presented
to a group of trainees,
but when an instructor-led
course is
held
on the Web,
ROOM_NAME
is 'At
Your
Desk'.
Almost every location has a ROOM_NAME, but for most locations, the ROOM_NUMBER
is null. Often, it may be sufficient to retrieve only the ROOM_NAME, but,
in some cases, you might want to retrieve both the ROOM_NAME and the
ROOM_NUMBER.
Note: In several cases, more than one location
has the same non-null value for ROOM_NAME.
Examples: '7 Penn Tower', '240', 'Gittis Classroom 1' The value
is stored without the surrounding quotes.
Values:

May be null? yes |
A character string that specifies the room number for the room where
training may be held. The ROOM_NUMBER
is usually null, but it may include letters and/or
numerals and/or other characters stored in mixed case. See also
LOCATION_ID, FACILITY_NAME, and ROOM_NAME.
Almost every location has a ROOM_NAME, but for most locations, the ROOM_NUMBER
is null. Often, it may be sufficient to retrieve only the ROOM_NAME,
but, in some cases, you might want to retrieve both the ROOM_NAME and
the ROOM_NUMBER.
Note: In some cases, more than one location has the same non-null value
for ROOM_NUMBER.
Examples: '709', 'L-FH AUD' The value
is stored without the surrounding quotes.
Values:

ROOM_TYPE
Indexed - no
Format - varchar2 (15)
May be null? yes |
A word describing the training room's size and/or
the fixtures. This
information is available for practically all locations. When it is

Other
PC-Lab |
ROOM_TYPE_DEF_ID
Indexed - no
Format - number (10)
May be null? yes |
A number used as a code to indicate the training
room's size and/or fixtures. The ROOM_TYPE_DEF_ID
value corresponds
to
a LMS_DEFINITION.DEF_ID, and ROOM_TYPE corresponds to the LMS_DEFINITION.NAME
for that DEF_ID.
Information on the room type is available
for practically all locations, but ROOM_TYPE_DEF_ID may be null.
Values:
60 (Class)
61 (Conference)
62 (Lab)
63 (Auditorium)

Values:
List of values not available. |
STATE
Indexed - no
Format - varchar2 (2)
May be null? yes |
The 2-character U.S.
Postal Service code for the state where the
training room is located. This information
is available for practically all locations;
when it is not available, the value of STATE is '-'. See also ADDRESS_1,
ADDRESS_2, CITY, ZIP,
and
COUNTRY.
Values:
NJ (New Jersey)
PA (Pennsylvania) |
ZIP
Indexed - no
Format - varchar2 (10)
May be null? yes |
The U.S.
Postal Service ZIP Code for the
address where the training
room is located. The value of ZIP is null for some locations. See
also ADDRESS_1,
ADDRESS_2, CITY, STATE,
and
COUNTRY.
The use of the ZIP + 4 (for example, '19104-6228') is recommended
for University mail, because the last 4 digits is the same as the University's
intramural mail code for the address. However, in the LMS_LOCATION
table, records whose ZIP value is a valid ZIP code store a
5-digit number.
Note: some records may have incorrect data (such
as a 6-digit number, or a value beginning with a blank space)
stored in ZIP.
Example: 19104
