Tuition Distribution Corporate Documents
The Business Objects Corporate Documents area provides access to pre-defined,
prompt-driven reports that you can run to retrieve a standardized perspective
on your data.
The Extract Date is the specific date of the extract. Tuition Distribution
takes five (5) extracts per term for each of the three terms. Spring
extracts run January to May, Summer extracts from May to September, and
Fall extracts September to January. When choosing an Extract Date, please
be mindful of the Term.
The following reports are available under the "Budget Office" category: TD Summary: After prompting the user for an Extract
Date and SRS Term, this query will populate several reports covering
the full spectrum of Tuition Distribution. The new versions of the Course
Enrollment and Registered Credit Reports, together with an Export Matrix
and Home and Teaching Distributions can also be found.
TD Student Detail: After
prompting the user for an Extract Date and SRS Term, this query will
populate reports showing Students and Home School Distributions. TD Course Detail: After prompting the user
for an Extract Date and SRS Term, this query will populate reports showing
Courses and Teaching School Distributions.
TD Faculty Detail: After prompting the user for an
Extract Date and SRS Term, this query will populate reports showing Faculty,
Job Title and Academic Appointment Data.
Faculty Load Report: After prompting the user for
a SRS Term, this query will populate the Faculty Load Reports from the
Student Data Warehouse.
To import reports for your own use:
Using InfoView:
The InfoView web page allows you to view the list of corporate documents
in the Business Objects repository and refresh and download those documents
via the web. To access the corporate documents using InfoView (Business
Objects users only):
- Point your browser to https://zinc.isc-seo.upenn.edu/wi
- Click the blue "Log In" button. Enter your Business Objects
ID and password in the User Name and Password fields that appear.
Click OK to continue to the InfoView Welcome page. You should not
click the "Remember my password" box, as this would allow
anyone using your browser to access the Data Warehouse under your
ID.
- Click the Corporate Documents link. You may then click on a document
name to view the structure and then refresh it, or download it, or
edit it using Business Objects.
Using the Business Objects client software:
- Log on to Business Objects.
- From the File menu, click "Retrieve From", and then "Corporate
Documents".
- Click on the name of the file you'd like to retrieve, and then
click the Retrieve button. You may choose whether to open
the document upon retrieval.
- Retrieved files are saved in your UserDocs directory by default.
You may wish to relocate and/or rename them.
