

New Online Directory: It’s Almost Here

New Features: Searching
- Quickly locate email addresses and phone
numbers in an easy-to-read results table [preview]
- View multiple phone numbers, addresses, emails for a listed individual,
with helpful labels and comments [preview]
- Retrieve a larger number of search responses
than ever before, using your PennKey and password
New Features: Updating and maintaining your own records
- Now students, as well as faculty and staff, can edit their own online
directory listings
- See exactly how your listing will appear online as you update it [preview]
- Use built-in links to Penn InTouch (for students) or U@Penn (for faculty
and staff) to avoid duplication and mix-ups with your records
- Present a briefer version of your information to the
general public, while still sharing more extensive information with other
members of the Penn community [preview]
- Add comments to several categories of information (such as listing office
hours next to office address)
Important dates
- January 31 – February 6 : Preview period
for reviewing personal listings
The 'Update directory listings' link on the Penn Web's Directories
page (http://www.upenn.edu/directories/)
will point to the new directory starting on January 31. We encourage
you to review and edit the information in your Directory profile and
select which information you want to display in your listings.
- February 7: Launch date for the new Online Directory
The new Online Directory will replace the current directory and will be
linked from the Penn Web's Directories page.
