What do I need to know about e-mail addresses in mutt?
If you are you are sending mail to
another user on the same machine, it is not necessary to type in the full
address. You only need to type in the person's login name.
If you are sending mail to any other machine that has the upenn.edu
domain, you do not have to type in the upenn.edu part of the
address. For example, the address user@mail.med.upenn.edu becomes
user@mail.med.
There are also alias names for certain machines. For example, you can mail
someone in School of Engineering as user@seas instead of
user@eniac.seas.upenn.edu. This also applies for user@wharton
and user@sas.
You can also set up advanced aliases in mutt if you want to create shortcuts.
