How do I create a signature file ?
Creating a signature file for webmail
- Log on to webmail.pobox.upenn.edu.
- Click "Options" link from the top menu bar.
- Click "Personal Information" link from the "Your Information" column
- Click "Edit your identities"
- Choose "Default identity" from "Your identities" and enter your signature in "Your signature" field.
- Click "Change" button in the bottom to save your signature
Creating a signature file for mail clients like Eudora and Outlook
Please read the help documentations which come with your mail client if you wish to use signatures.
Creating a signature file for shell acess applications
At the [MAIN MENU] prompt, type
settings. This will take you to the [SETTINGS MENU] and display the
following:

passwd - Change password for pennuser@pobox.upenn.edu
menus on|off [ON ] - Enable or disable menus at logon
forward on|off [OFF] - Enable or disable mail forwarding
vacation on|off|edit [OFF] - Enable, disable, or change vacation message
signature on|off|edit [OFF] - Enable, disable, or change automatic signature
termtype [vt220] - Set the type of terminal
help - Enter HELP for information on this server
main - Return to main menu
logout - End this session on this server

Use '<command> on' to enable a setting, '<command> off' to disable it,
and '<command> edit' to change the text associated with a setting.
Enter a menu command, or press enter to display the settings menu
To enable the signature feature, type signature on. Use signature
off to disable the signature option.
You will be then given a chance to edit the file (.signature).
Use the main command to return to the [MAIN MENU].
