Search the FAQ:

Will my messages look any different after being scanned?

For most mail the body of the message will not change but some additional lines will be added to the mail header of the message once a message has been scanned.

Example of the additional mail headers that will be added:

X-VirusChecked: Checked
X-Msg-Ref: server-3.tower-46.messagelabs.com!1067594846!13549
X-StarScan-Version: 5.1.9.3; banners=-,-,-

If you have configured your e-mail client with a return address that is not hosted by our server, and all of the recipient addresses are also not hosted on our server, then the MessageLabs banner will also appear on the bottom of your message.
