How do I cross post to other groups with tin?
In tin, you can post to multiple groups by editing the Newsgroups: line when you post a message.
Just place the names of the newsgroups to be cross posted. The list should be comma seperated with no spaces.
eg: Newsgroups: upenn.general,upenn.announce
It is proper netiquette to cross-post to appropriate groups. Posting to multiple unrelated groups is called "spamming" and it will most certainly win you a reprimand from other users and possibly the system administrator.
