How do I create a vacation message/autoreply in Zimbra?
Users no longer log into Account Services to control the
vacation message/autoreply. Users can do that through the
Zimbra Webmail Client (ZWC).
To turn on vacationing:
- Using your PennKey and
password, log into the ZWC.
- Choose the Preferences tab in right top of the Mail screen.
- Choose the Mail tab in right top of the Preferences screen.
- In the Mail Preferences screen, go down to the
Receiving Messages section and to turn vacationing on:
- check Send auto-reply message
- Fill in your vacation message in the text box supplied
- Optional: If you want the
system to start your vacation messaging and end your vacation messaging
for you, you can check and a supply a
Start Date and an End date
If you don't use this option, please remember to come
back and turn your vacationing off when it's no longer needed.
- Click Save in the upper left-hand of the screen.
To turn off vacationing:
- Using your PennKey and
password, log into the ZWC.
- Choose the Preferences tab in right top of the Mail screen.
- Choose the Mail tab in right top of the Preferences screen.
- In the Mail Preferences screen, go down to the
Receiving Messages section and to turn vacationing off:
- uncheck Send auto-reply message
- Click Save in the upper left-hand of the screen.
