Spring 2000 - Objectives and News

News This Week:

  • A free upgrade to version 4.0 is available for those who have purchased Dreamweaver version 3.0 after October 13. Click here for details.

We've been charged with the following tasks:

  • Examine products which allow end-users to effectively create and maintain web sites in support of their academic or administrative work.
  • Develop a feature matrix comparing selected products.
  • Based on testing and evaluation, make a recommendation to ISC as to which product or products should be supported by Penn's Information Systems and Computing. Among those features examined will be cost and ease of use. These are among the broader categories of critical issues that will affect our ability to effectively support a campus standard. Please choose from the menu on the left to check our progress.

Our primary audience is defined as:

  • People who typically spend less than 30% of their time creating or updating web pages created by themselves or others.
