Supported Products - Spring 2001 - Test Platforms

The following are the recommended combinations of operating system and system specifications to be used in evaluating candidate products this spring. The platforms align closely with the desktop recommendations over the last four years, and are therefore representative of a broad cross-section of systems in use on campus.

We ask that all teams structure testing in a way that confirms recommended products perform adequately under these system configurations. In the event a recommended product does not function well under specific configurations please propose a strategy for users with those systems. In past years, for example, we recommended continued use of older browser versions for users with systems that fell below certain specifications.
