Web Browser Evaluation - Spring 2004

This will be an evaluation of current web browsers (including Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1, Mozilla 1.6, Netscape 7.1, and Safari 1.x). With the number of services being delivered via the web, structured testing of web browsers against critical University systems is necessary. This team will build from the extensive scripting and testing done in previous years' web browser evaluations.

The team is asked to document issues related to use of specific browser/Java versions to access campus systems and services, and to develop general recommendations regarding their configuration and use. In addition, the team is asked to confirm continued support for the recommended helper applications (Acrobat Reader, Flash, Quicktime, RealPlayer, and Windows Media Player) and to test browsers with the latest versions of the helper applications installed.
