Hard Drive Encryption - Spring 2006

This LSP-oriented product/technology evaluation team will test and document the use of file encryption tools integrated in current shipping versions of Windows and Mac OS.

Specific deliverables will include precise configuration instructions and suggestions, best practices for dealing with security versus accessibility (such as procedures for backing up encryption keys), and information regarding specific issues of interest (such as encrypting compressed files, strategies for backing up large encrypted files, etc.).
