Distributed Computing Task Force: "Files" Working Group"

Working Group Chairs:

This group has been meeting for some time, and is charged with assessing the need for a usefulness of advanced file services and file systems management for Penn. Two major areas are being investigated:

• Distributed file systems, for use in facilitating cross-department/school collaboration through easier data sharing
• Stratgies for software distribution, which is the main focus currently.
