Public Area Computing Special Interest Group (PAC-SIG)
The Public Area Computing Special Interest Group is composed of individuals
who support any general use computers or network access areas on campus. Public
Area Computing includes computer labs (both those open to all members of the
Penn Community and those limited to a specific school's population), computer
kiosks, wireless areas, and any other computers that are available for general
use within the University. The Group is a forum where LSPs can exchange information,
receive news, and learn about Penn's standards and services for PennNet access
on both Mac and Windows platforms.
The group meets on a quarterly basis and features an electronic
distribution list. For additional information or to join PAC-SIG please
contact Rob Short (rshort at isc.upenn.edu).

KITE
With the retirement of PAS-GINA, Penn has implemented KITE, a domain authentication
method allowing users to log into their "home" domain from any other
domain on campus, assuming a proper trust relationship has been set up.
For more information on Penn's KITE implementation and the required domain
trusts, please see Networking's KITE
page on the Computing Web.

SecureCRT Lab Version
A custom lab version of SecureCRT is available to users who maintain systems
that multiple individuals access. This version has the "Save Username" and "Save
Password" features disabled for increased security to prevent subsequent users
from seeing/using the previous user's Username/Password. Click on the download
link above for this custom lab version.
