How to Configure Fetch 5.3 for Kerberos (Mac OS 10.3.x/10.4.x)
When you install Fetch from the PennConnect DVD or download it from Supported Products site, it has already been configured to FTP to Penn's server, origin.www.upenn.edu. If, however, you want to FTP to other servers, you can use the instructions below to add the new FTP site, then configure that site for the Kerberos environment.
Notes:
- Start Fetch 5.3 from your Applications folder (Go → Applications → Fetch 5.3). The New Connection window displays. If the New Connection window is not visible, select New Connection... from the File menu.
Notes: If you are asked to purchase the product or enter a serial number, click Not Yet to close the window. Also, click Not Now when asked to install the Fetch Wizard dashboard. You can install the dashboard later.
- In the New Connection window, complete the following fields, and then click OK:
- In the Hostname field, enter the hostname of the FTP site. For example, enter pobox.upenn.edu
